Merchant Agreement
Last updated: March 9, 2026
Additional terms for businesses that accept online payments through MultiStore POS and MultiStore Pay.
Scope
This Merchant Agreement applies when you enable online shop checkout, collect payments through integrated gateways, or receive payouts to your registered bank account. It supplements our Terms of Service.
Merchant representations
- You are a legally registered or sole proprietorship business authorised to sell the goods and services offered.
- Product descriptions, prices, and taxes displayed to customers are accurate.
- You will fulfil orders promptly and honour your stated refund and delivery policies.
- You will not sell prohibited items (counterfeit goods, illegal products, or services banned by payment partners).
Payments & payouts
Customer payments are processed by Paystack. Funds may be held in escrow until the customer confirms receipt and you mark delivery according to platform workflows. Available balances can be withdrawn to your verified bank account, minus any chargebacks, fees, or holds applied under our policies.
Fees & reserves
Platform subscription fees are separate from payment processing fees charged by Paystack. We may delay or freeze payouts if fraud is suspected, a dispute is open, or you violate this agreement.
Termination
We may disable checkout or payout features if you breach these terms or payment partner rules. Outstanding obligations survive termination.
